Through the Eyes of Children

I was really impressed when I found this site through an article by Jan Herman. It was created to showcase pictures taken by children at the Imbabazi Orphanage in Gisenyi, Rwanda, many of whom were maimed and orphaned by the genocide of 1994.
The orphanage is run by Rosamond Halsey Carr, an American who has lived in Rwanda for more than 50 of her 90 years. She introduced the children to David Jiranek, another American, who taught them how to take pictures. Enjoy!
