Rain

Its not that rain doesn’t ever happen in LA, its just that its rare. Most of the time its predicted and then it never shows up. On Friday there was a prediction for 50% rain on Sunday, with it clearing up in the afternoon. So you can guess my suprise when it started raining last night and its still going. It goes from sprinkles to actual rain and then back again. Its supposed to last through Wednesday! Very cool.

Not suprisingly though, native Angelenos can’t drive in the rain. They either try to maintain their super-fast speeds (the natural reaction to a freeway that isn’t clogged) or they crawl along like Rossmoor residents (what *is* this stuff…it looks… wet…). When you think about how many of these people probably came from another part of the country (who is actually born and raised in LA anyways??), I have to wonder if its just LA’s blinding lights sucking the intelligence out of them… I don’t *technically* live in LA (Glendale borders it)… so, of course… that won’t happen to me…
